Naomi Taylor Evans (1900-1969) Born in Los Angeles, CA on Nov. 29, 1900, Evans was a pupil of Sam Hyde Harris during the 1930s and 1940s. Though both were married to others, their love affair was well known. Her work includes desert landscapes quite similar to those by Harris (some say that she signed many of his own canvases to hide their relationship). In an odd twist, she frequently signed pieces \"Mrs. Roy K. Evans\" acknowledging her husband.
